We are seeking experienced On-Call Medical Equipment Repair Technicians to support the clinical simulation labs at Stenberg College and Canadian College in Prince George . This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled technicians who enjoy flexible, on-demand work and take pride in ensuring healthcare simulation equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.
Our nursing and healthcare programs rely on clinical simulation equipment to provide students with realistic, hands‑on learning experiences. As an on‑call technician, you will provide timely troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for simulation equipment and related lab devices, helping ensure our students and instructors have access to fully functioning learning environments.
This is an on‑call contract position with no guaranteed weekly hours.
Employment Type: Contract, on-call ~ 55 per hour ~ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair clinical simulation equipment, including patient simulation manikins, vital signs monitors, IV pumps, and other healthcare training devices. Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance as required. Source and recommend replacement parts when needed.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate recommendations for ongoing equipment maintenance. Proven experience repairing biomedical, clinical, medical, simulation, or electronic equipment. Comfortable assessing and troubleshooting equipment issues remotely before an on‑site visit when appropriate.
Reliable, responsive, and able to provide on‑site support within the assigned location. Manufacturer certification, biomedical engineering training, or CMBES membership is considered an asset but is not required.
