Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations and Program Leadership Team, the Bus Driver and Youth Support Staff member plays a key role in safely transporting school aged children to and from programs while supporting a positive and caring workplace for our athletes.
This role blends professional driving responsibilities with youth supervision and relationship building. You are not just driving a bus. You are helping create safety, trust, and belonging for children and families in our community.
Regular Hours
Monday to Friday
Afternoon route based on school schedules starting at 2pm.
Additional hours may be available for staff training days, early dismissal days, camps, and special programs.
What a Great Day Looks Like
Safely operating the bus or van in compliance with provincial regulations and Kelowna City FC standards
Ensuring the safety and supervision of children at all times
Maintaining a calm and welcoming environment where children feel secure
Ensuring children remain seated with seatbelts fastened at all times
Supporting children as they get on and off the bus and releasing them only to authorized individuals with ID verification
Completing daily pre trip vehicle inspections and paperwork
Supporting program leaders with supervision of children aged approximately 5 to 12
Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Encouraging respectful, inclusive, and kind interactions
Following all Kelowna City FC policies, safety procedures, and expectations
Qualifications We Are Looking For
Valid BC Class 4 Unrestricted or Class 2 driver’s license (24 Seat capacity bus)
Clean driver’s abstract provided annually
Current First Aid certification with CPR Level B or C or willingness to obtain
Experience working with children or youth is an asset
Strong communication skills and a calm, friendly presence
Reliability, responsibility, and pride in your work

Provide three qualified references
Complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search issued within six months of the start date
