We are looking for a kind, dependable and compassionate female caregiver/companion to provide part-time support for a senior woman living in Richmond.

The goal of this role is to provide companionship and practical day-to-day assistance while helping her remain active, comfortable and independent at home.

Because the position includes bathing and other personal-care assistance, a female caregiver is required to meet the care recipient’s privacy and dignity needs.

Schedule

- 4–5 hours per day
- 5 days per week
- Approximately 20–25 hours per week
- Long-term position for the right person

Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, conversation and emotional support
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene as needed
- Encourage and assist with walking, light exercise and daily activities
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals
- Light housekeeping, including general cleaning and tidying
- Laundry, folding clothes and keeping personal areas organized
- Grocery shopping and other household errands
- Accompany her to medical and other appointments
- Pharmacy or other necessary errands as needed
- Provide transportation to and from mosque when required
- Help maintain a safe,



comfortable and organized home environment
- Observe her general well-being and communicate any concerns or changes to the family

What We Are Looking For

- Comfortable providing personal care to a senior
- Previous senior-care, home-care or caregiving experience preferred
- Experience supporting seniors with memory or cognitive changes is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Able to communicate comfortably in English
- Gujarati or Punjabi language skills are a strong asset
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are a solid asset
- Caregiver, health care assistant, nursing or related training is an asset, but not required
- References preferred. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with seniors and can become a consistent, trusted companion.
