Part-Time VLT Cashier

Job Type: Part-Time

Hours: 20–30 hours per week

Pay: $16.00/hour

Certification: Valid Smart Choices certification required

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and customer-focused VLT Cashier to join our team. This position involves customer service, cash handling, VLT operations, alcohol service, cleaning, and accurate shift reporting.

Key Duties

- Provide friendly and skilled customer service.
- Operate the cash counter and accurately handle cash, debit/credit, and other payments.
- Serve alcohol responsibly and follow all applicable age-verification and legal requirements.
- Complete accurate computer systems entry for shift opening and closing, including cash and transaction records.
- Clean and maintain VLT machines, cashier areas, floor areas, and entrance areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the premises, including staff and customer washroom areas, and complete end-of-shift garbage disposal as required.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Report cash discrepancies, equipment issues, or other concerns to management.
- Follow company policies, procedures,



and responsible service requirements.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Secondary school education required.
- Valid Smart Choices certification required.
- Previous cashier, VLT, customer service, or cash-handling experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
