We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Chef Assistant / Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will support the creation and presentation of delicious baked goods and desserts, assist with food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Assist the head pastry chef in preparing a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts
- Support food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling products
- Decorate cakes and desserts with skillful cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment throughout shifts
- Contribute to inventory management by organizing ingredients and supplies needed for daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bakery environment is required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and baking processes
- Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with cake decorating or similar artistic skills is a plus
- Kitchen experience within the food industry will support quick adaptation to the role’s demands
- Knowledge of chocolate tempering is preferred.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
