Underwriter II The incumbent will apply sound underwriting judgment and company philosophy to evaluate risk, set appropriate terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Underwrite and negotiate medium complexity renewals, policy endorsements, and new business. Gathering background information on potential customers and analyzing all relevant data to determine risk levels.

Preparing terms and conditions of insurance policies. Provide exemplary customer experience and manage the development of internal and external stakeholders. Negotiate terms and conditions of risk acceptance with brokers.

Ensure day-to-day underwriting practices confirm to all necessary regulatory obligations. Participate in, or provide, training and development initiatives. Preparing the terms and conditions of insurance policies.

As our ideal candidate, you have previous experience within the insurance industry as well as a solid understanding of Personal Lines contracts. You have proven decision-making and analytical skills,



including the ability to determine how to grow business profitability through assessment and analysis of individual risks. Previous experience in underwriting and rural business, dealing with or as a broker would be an asset.

The salary for the successful candidate will be determined by various factors including but not limited to an individual’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, along with internal equity, and market considerations.
