Crania Schools is looking for a friendly, reliable, and skilled Piano Teacher to provide engaging piano lessons to children and youth.

Responsibilities

- Teach private and/or small-group piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Develop students’ skills in:
- Note reading
- Rhythm and timing
- Technique
- Scales and chords
- Music theory
- Sight-reading
- Performance
- Prepare structured, age-appropriate lessons
- Assign appropriate weekly practice/homework
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and examinations where appropriate
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and well-managed learning environment
- Communicate professionally with parents and Crania staff
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled lessons
- Help students develop confidence, discipline, and a genuine enjoyment of music

Qualifications
- Strong piano-playing ability
- Positive understanding of music theory and technique
- Previous experience teaching piano to children is strongly preferred




- Ability to connect well with children and teenagers
- Clear and patient communicator
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Able to adapt teaching methods to different students and learning styles
- Conservatory training, music degree/diploma, or equivalent experience is an asset
- Experience preparing students for RCM examinations is an asset

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
