We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to develop, program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, control panels, industrial communication protocols, and machine commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automated machinery and industrial processes.
- Program and configure PLCs such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Omron, or other platforms.
- Develop and modify HMI/SCADA applications, screens, alarms, trends, and control logic.
- Understand electrical drawings, control schematics, I/O lists, and sequence-of-operation documents.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, sensors, actuators, and other automation components.
- Establish and troubleshoot industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, Profibus, and RS-485.
- Perform machine testing, debugging, commissioning, and site installation.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, drive, communication, and instrumentation-related faults.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, production, and maintenance teams to resolve automation issues.
- Prepare and maintain PLC software backups, program documentation, manuals, and technical reports.
- Support machine upgrades, process improvements, and automation projects.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable electrical and automation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming concepts, ladder logic,
function blocks, and structured programming.
- Practical experience with at least one major PLC platform, preferably Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development and troubleshooting.
- Valuable understanding of electrical control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning, if required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TIA Portal / Step 7, WinCC, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, or similar automation software.
- Knowledge of motion control and servo systems.
- Experience with robotics and machine vision systems.
- Knowledge of OPC UA, SQL databases, or MES integration.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and machine safety systems.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
