UNPAID • 4-MONTH PLACEMENT • REMOTE • START IMMEDIATELY

This chance is ONLY for currently enrolled college or university students who are looking for an unpaid academic placement/co-op opportunity or an approved hands-on learning placement.

This is NOT a paid position.

We are looking for students who want real-world experience working on a children’s social-emotional learning app that is now approaching launch.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Calm Courage Co. is an early-stage startup developing an interactive app designed to help children build confidence, emotional awareness, social skills, resilience, and other important life skills.

The app is already substantially built. We are now at the stage where we need developers to help us get the product fully tested, finalized, deployed, launched, and maintained.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Depending on your skills and experience, you may work on:

- Final application testing
- Troubleshooting and debugging
- Fixing technical issues
- React Native development
- Front-end and back-end development
- Firebase/database work
- Authentication and user accounts
- App performance and functionality
- iOS build and deployment
- Google Play deployment
- App Store submission preparation
- Quality assurance
- Technical documentation




- Maintenance and improvements
- Launch preparation
- Future feature development
- Phase 2 product development The app is close to launch, so this is an opportunity to work on a real product at the final development and launch stage, rather than starting a project that may never be released.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

You will have flexibility to determine your availability.

You will communicate with us about:

- The days you are available
- The hours you plan to work
- Your schedule and availability changes
- When you are able to participate in development sessions or meetings

We are not looking for someone who needs to be given a traditional 9–5 schedule.

We want students who can take initiative, problem-solve, learn independently, ask questions, and contribute ideas.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You should have experience or education in areas such as:

- Software Development
- Computer Science
- Mobile App Development
- Web Development
- Full-Stack Development
- React Native
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Firebase
- iOS development
- Android development
- App deployment
- Testing and debugging

You do not need to know everything listed above.

We are looking for students who are capable, motivated, willing to learn,



and interested in gaining genuine hands-on experience.
