Overview
Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.
This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.
This role will be offered to work on rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).
ThePlumber willbe responsible forthe installation, maintenance and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.This positionwill work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limitedto:air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, waterpipesand sewer utilities in and about the facilities, as well asmaintainingand repairing compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Installs commercial and in-house produced plumbing assemblies into in-process HVAC equipment.
- Reviews blueprints andspecifications;ensures drawings and specifications will function as designed inenvironmentintended for use and maintains drawings to reflect accurately any changes and/or additions that are made.
- Tendstoplumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production equipment running.
- Participates in all construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes and/or additions.
- Tends to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs including cleaning for all plumbing,heating, andair conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment.
- Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance production and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities.
- Assistin training, directing,
and supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.
- Performs plumbing inventory and orders parts asrequired.
- Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds.
- Provides technical Assistance/Emergency Response services to existing facilities.
- Set up and tests finished HVAC equipment for proper performance/customer requirements.
- Keeps detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and safety documentation.
- Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
- Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred.
- LicensedPlumber - must have a Red Seal or AIT certified and 500+ hours in blue book.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times.
Working Conditions
- 24/7 availability may berequired.
- Physical ability tolift upto 50lbs.
