Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work on rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM). The Plumber will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment. This position will work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limited to: air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, water pipes and sewer utilities in and about the facilities, as well as maintaining and repairing compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps. #Installs commercial and in-house produced plumbing assemblies into in-process HVAC equipment.

Tends to plumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production equipment running. Participates in all construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes and/or additions. Tends to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs including cleaning for all plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment.

Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance production and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities. Assist in training, directing, and supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work. Performs plumbing inventory and orders parts as required.

Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds. Provides technical Assistance/Emergency Response services to existing facilities.



Set up and tests finished HVAC equipment for proper performance/customer requirements.

Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred.

Licensed

Plumber - must have a Red Seal or AIT certified and 500+ hours in blue book. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working workplace. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Travel to off-site locations may be required. ~ Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). ~ Overtime as required. ~ Work both indoors and outdoors, may be exposed to construction sites.
