Shyshka Plumbing Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice years 1-4/Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team and become an essential part of delivering top-tier plumbing solutions in Calgary & Surrounding areas.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, takes pride in their work, and is interested in developing their plumbing skills in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced plumbers and gain practical experience throughout various stages of residential new construction plumbing.

Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work required based on project schedule and business needs. Start and end times may vary depending on job site requirements.

Responsibilities

- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Measure, cut, assemble,



and fit pipes and fixtures accurately according to specifications
- Support in troubleshooting plumbing issues by applying basic math and schematic reading skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work setting by following safety protocols, proper tool handling procedures and Alberta OHS Requirements
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites, including carpentry and HVAC components when necessary
- Participate in routine maintenance tasks on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance
- Perform other plumbing related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Registered Plumbing Apprenticeship/Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter Ticket Required
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with building trades is an asset
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and reading blueprints or schematics is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending and working in construction environments.
- Strong understanding of basic math principles relevant to measurements and calculations in construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in physically demanding environments while adhering to safety guidelines
- Willingness to learn new skills related to plumbing installation and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Reliable transportation to jobsites
- Class 5 licence preferred

Pay: $21.00-$84.00 per hour
