Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing ingredients and components for a variety of Indian dishes, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Support the cooking team by following recipes and food preparation procedures to ensure authentic flavors and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste
- Assist in setting up stations for service, including garnishing and plating as directed by chefs
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues




- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation during busy service hours

Skills

- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Strong understanding of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices in a skilled kitchen
- Basic cooking skills with an interest in Indian cuisine and meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and communication
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance
- Serving experience or familiarity with customer service principles is a plus but not mandatory
