Purchasing Coordinator - Commodity - VTCA Purchasing Coordinator (Commodity Buyer) - VTCA Vuteq Technical Center Americas is a Sales and Engineering service provider representing Vuteq and Diversity Vuteq manufacturing groups throughout North America. The Vuteq group of companies is actively engaged in automotive parts manufacturing and design and currently supplies Interior and Exterior components to General Motors, Toyota Motor Manufacturing and Honda Motor Manufacturing. Located in Woodstock, Ontario, we are proud to supply quality products and services to our customers for the past 38 years.

These are recent open positions for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team!

The Purchasing

Coordinator (Commodity Buyer) is responsible for controlling costs, negotiating contracts, contract management, building supplier relationships for the requirements and specification of parts/materials required by our customers. Extensive hands-on training Paid sick and personal time Paid vacation time - 2 weeks/year Paid company floaters at Christmas Community involvement opportunities Company events - Holiday parties, summer picnic, BBQ's Utilize Vuteq best practices and leadership skills to guide and develop an assigned set of Vuteq suppliers to achieve improvements and global competitive results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost Create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare returned RFQs from different suppliers, provide feedback to suppliers, Total cost analysis, complete Business Award Ringisho and obtain approval Creating Purchasing Strategy Documents for assigned commodities negotiate with suppliers to get lower pricing and improved service,



work with suppliers to improve their processes to improve pricing for Vuteq through benchmarking and analysis Building supplier relationships; Quarterly meeting to review performance and cost reduction ideas, supplier site-visits to ensure compliance with Vuteq standards and understand process related to cost Project management: take lead on projects as assigned by manager, provide purchasing support to Engineering, Production areas Participate, as needed, and interact with other Vuteq plants troubleshoot issues and problem solve. Must be able to understand the required specifications from the customers, review drawings (internal and external) Successful completion of a 2 - 3 year college diploma in Purchasing Materials Management/Supply Chain Operations/Business Program Equity considered an asset Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation considered an asset AIAG IATF 16949:2016 Supplier Auditor Certification considered an asset 2 - 3 years of purchasing experience ~1 - 2 years of external customer service experience ~1 - 2 years of Microsoft Office experience ~2 -5 years of automotive experience Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail orientation when producing data and reports Ability to effectively manage a small group of professionals to achieve shared and personal goals Ability to communicate is a second language would be an asset Vuteq Technical Center Americas and Vuteq Canada Inc. welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
