Role Description The Project Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role supports project managers and site supervisors by organizing project documentation, tracking schedules, and helping coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors for interior construction projects.
Daily tasks include maintaining project files and drawings, preparing and updating project timelines, assisting with change orders and RFIs, and communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.
The Project
Coordinator will help monitor progress against milestones, support the procurement of materials, and contribute to safety and quality documentation.
This position also involves regular use of project management software and productivity tools to support accurate reporting and efficient coordination.
Qualifications
- Project coordination and planning skills, including experience organizing tasks, timelines, and resources for multiple projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project managers, site teams, clients, and vendors.
- Proficiency with office and project management software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, document management systems).
- Attention to detail in managing documentation, contracts, drawings, and change orders, with strong organizational habits.
- Understanding of construction processes, ideally in drywall, framing, acoustic systems, and interior finishing, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of safety practices and standards on construction sites; previous experience in ICI or residential construction is an asset.
