Engineering is seeking a talented individual to join our Markham team as a Capital Planning Project Manager.

Engineering has over 130 employees across North America, providing restoration, capital planning, structural, mechanical, electrical, building envelope, accessibility, and energy optimization services for buildings. As a Project Manager - Capital Planning, you will play a key role in: Project Management: Lead and oversee building assessment projects, ensuring timely, accurate and budget-conscious deliverables.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise: Conduct site reviews, analyse data and prepare detailed reports, including Depreciation Reports, Warranty Reviews and Building/Property Condition Assessments.
Proposals & Planning: Develop project scopes, budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with client goals and organisational standards.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, market conditions and emerging technologies. Conduct site visits, manage resources and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
Lead the preparation of proposals, including developing project scopes and fees. Monitor project budgets and timelines, keeping stakeholders informed of progress. 5+ years of experience in capital planning, preferably within the engineering or building assessment sector. ~ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Materials, Mechanical), Building Science, Architectural Science or Applied Science; or Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology. ~ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). ~ Proficiency in building codes, standards and industry practices. ~ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
