As Registered
Nurse (RN)you will become a vital member of a dynamic and compassionate team in a thriving community. 2 East - Acute Medicine, 2 North - Medical/Surgical and 1 North - CCC/Palliative/Rehab. As a valued member of the crew, the RN’s role is essential in upholding the high standards of care. The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation: Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Must be compliant with College of Nurses quality assurance standards Therapy (knowledge of Inotropes, Thrombolysis, etc.) Physical Assessment Adult/Paeds Central lines including accessing and blood sampling Phlebotomy Blood glucose monitoring Coronary Care – Level 1 preferred Coronary Care – Level 2 preferred Must be able to fulfill all physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with all patients, physicians, staff,
and visitors Willingness to participate in process improvement Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting health care environment Commitment to customer service and teamwork Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers As a partially designated French speaking organization, French verbal and written communication skills are considered an asset in this position Our leadership team understands that not everyone may bring 100% of the skills and experiences required for the role but they will be your advocate, helping to remove barriers you may face.
