• Children’s Health team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment of the paediatric patient from infancy to adolescence. Commitment to parent and family education and support using a family centered approach is essential. The successful incumbent demonstrates an ability to work independently with strong clinical decision making and can facilitate discharge planning. This is a Full-Time position to work 12 hour shifts - days and nights including weekends. Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Current

Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse in good standing required Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required Two (2) current years paediatric experience including paediatric physical assessment skills required Must have strong medical/surgical knowledge base and evidence of ability to apply those skills in paediatric environment Previous experience with patient safety and quality initiatives required Experience with Meditech an asset.
