We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care home client in Tavistock, Ontario.

The Occupational

Therapist will work closely with residents to help improve their activities of daily living.Schedule:3 Hours per weekJob Duties:Conduct OT/ADP assessments for residents per College standards, develop individualized treatment plans, and document all progress notes in the facility’s health record systemComplete feeding assessments for residentsComplete assessments for falls prevention and Least Restraints, including reviews of bed railsWork with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff in regards to wound management (ex: positioning, lifting and transferringWork with multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations with respect to other interventions or treatments (ex:



Restorative Care, Pain Management, Contingence Management), and ensure the interventions follow best practicesQualifications:Must be registered and in positive standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario, and must have ADP AuthorizerMust have Professional License InsuranceExcellent interpersonal and listening skills while interacting with residents or their familiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in a Long Term Care home would be a definite assetCurrent police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required
