SURGERY OPSEU – SERVICE REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT PART-TIME Reporting to the Manager, Surgical Services, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively as a member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a secure and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.

College of Nurses registration Two years recent acute care nursing experience Competency in surgical aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, medication administration, IVtherapy, Enteral feeding. POCT, wound care and drain care, PCA, chest tubes, epidural analgesia and monitoring patient receiving blood and blood products Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Completion of PACU nursing course #
