Key Responsibilities

- Review and assess a healthcare technology solution for compliance with the regulatory standards of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (CPBC), the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), and the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ)
- Where applicable, advise on relevant standards from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, and BC
- Identify any regulatory, scope-of-practice, or professional conduct gaps that could impact market readiness
- Advise on privacy and health information legislation as it intersects with professional college standards (e.g., PIPEDA, PHIPA, HIA, and provincial equivalents), where relevant to the review
- Provide a written compliance assessment/report outlining findings, risks, and recommended remediations
- Advise on documentation, disclosures, or workflow adjustments needed to meet each college’s standards
- Be available for follow-up consultation as the product moves toward deployment




- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information disclosed during the engagement

Requirements

- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory frameworks and standards of practice set by pharmacy regulatory colleges in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, and BC (multi-province experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with physician regulatory college standards in these provinces is an asset
- Prior experience in regulatory affairs, compliance consulting, or professional practice advisory work within pharmacy or healthcare
- Strong understanding of Canadian health privacy legislation as it applies to digital health tools
- Experience reviewing health-tech, software, or workflow tools for regulatory compliance is a strong asset
- Excellent written communication skills — able to produce explicit, actionable compliance reports
- Comfortable working under NDA and handling confidential/proprietary information
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on a contract basis

Preferred Qualifications

- Pharmacist (RPh/PharmD) or healthcare professional with regulatory affairs experience
- Previous consulting experience with health-tech startups or digital health companies
- Experience navigating multi-provincial regulatory approval or compliance processes

Compensation

Competitive, commensurate with experience. Structured as a paid consulting engagement (hourly, project-based, or retainer — open to discussion).
