Role Description The Remote Live Chat Agent role is a part-time, fully remote position focused on supporting community engagement and member inquiries. On a day-to-day basis, the agent responds to live chat messages from current and prospective members, provides timely and accurate information about upcoming events, and assists with registration or basic technical questions. The agent helps guide visitors to relevant resources, collects feedback, and escalates complex issues to the appropriate team members when needed.
This role also involves maintaining a friendly, professional tone in all interactions, documenting common questions, and suggesting improvements to FAQs and member support processes.
Qualifications
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond clearly and professionally in real time.
- Customer service or community support experience,
especially in live chat, email, or social media environments.
- Comfort with basic technology and web-based tools, including chat platforms, event registration systems, and productivity software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to track inquiries, follow up on requests, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple conversations simultaneously.
- Interest in qualified networking, community building, or event-based organizations is highly beneficial.
- Availability during peak member engagement times, which may include evenings or event days, as agreed with the organization.
