Trailhead Paddle Shack is seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager to join our management team at our flagship store in Ottawa. This role is perfect for an outdoor enthusiast with strong leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and a knack for operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you’ll help drive our vision forward, ensuring our customers and staff thrive in an environment that celebrates adventure and community.

Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of outdoor enthusiasts, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture. Oversee daily operations to ensure exceptional service, drawing on your expertise to assist customers with paddling, camping, skiing, and other outdoor gear needs. Manage inventory, optimize product displays, and drive sales strategies that align with seasonal trends and customer demand.

Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming store workplace, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with company policies. Create protocols to protect the store, including theft management. Contribute innovative ideas to enhance our offerings,



improve processes, and support the long-term success of the business. 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in the outdoor or specialty retail sector. ~ Passion for outdoor activities (paddling, camping, hiking, skiing, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with staff, customers, and vendors. ~ Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and basic office tools. ~ Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as needed.
