Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at Okotoks Ford Lincoln in Okotoks, AB. The Salesperson will greet and engage customers in the showroom and on the lot, listen to their needs, and recommend suitable new and preowned vehicles.
Responsibilities include conducting test drives, explaining vehicle features and benefits, preparing price quotes, and guiding customers through financing, warranties, and add-on options. The role involves maintaining product knowledge on Ford and Lincoln vehicles, staying informed about inventory and promotions, and accurately completing sales documentation in line with dealership and AMVIC requirements.
The Salesperson will also follow up with prospects and existing customers, build long-term relationships, and contribute to a positive, customer-focused team workplace.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience closing deals, handling objections, and working toward individual and team targets.
- Basic financial acumen for discussing payment options, financing, leasing, and value-added products in an accurate and transparent manner.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple customers, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.
- Comfort with digital tools and dealership systems (CRM software, email, online inventory platforms, and standard office applications).
- Interest in and ability to learn automotive product knowledge, including features, trims, and benefits of Ford, Lincoln, and preowned vehicles.
- Prior experience in automotive sales or retail sales is an asset but not required; willingness to participate in ongoing training is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in business, sales, or a related field are considered an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to conduct customer test drives safely.
