Stantec's Geotechnical and Materials Engineering Team is seeking a Materials Field Technician to join our team in the Dartmouth, NS office. The successful candidates will demonstrate initiative and will excel under minimal supervision.

You will work with a team of engineers/scientists and other technologists/technicians performing general materials testing and inspection services in the field. Travel to sites, collection of samples Construction Quality control/Quality assurance testing (Concrete, Soils, Asphalt) Inspection/calibration of lab equipment Other general field/laboratory related duties Reporting:



You will be required to regularly complete detailed field/laboratory reports and submit them to the project manager or laboratory supervisor. Effective communication skills (computer, written, oral).

Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Driver’s License, access to their own personal vehicle and must be willing to provide a driver’s abstract for review. Ability to travel as this position may require traveling and working outside of HRM and Nova Scotia. Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
