As a Senior Accountant [Audit] your responsibilities will include: Planning, preparing and executing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirements Preparing various types of tax returns and responding to CRA requests for information Contributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice Supervising, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior engagement team members on diverse engagements Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Accountant [Audit]? Completed post-secondary degree/diploma CPA (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA or CPA, CGA)
accreditation (or near completion of) Minimum 2 years of public practice audit experience Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting and tax Experienced in tax return preparation Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills and attention to detail Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members considered an asset Proficient with MS Office suite and Accounting software applications (CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks), with ability to quickly grasp new technology tools At Doane Grant Thornton we're focused on making a difference in the lives of our clients, our colleagues and our communities.
Firmwide holiday closure Work from anywhere in Canada in the summer for 4 weeks We believe compensation should reflect more than just market data—it should reflect you . Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors-your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $57,500-$83,200 in Kamloops.
If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors. That's why we're working in a model where teams are required to be together in the office 4 days per week.
