Senior Business Analyst – Capital Markets

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a Capital Markets technology and trading environment. This role will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to support trading operations, system enhancements, vendor integrations, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide business and application support for trading platforms and related processes
- Collaborate with front‑office, operations, risk, finance, and technology teams to resolve issues and answer inquiries
- Participate in the delivery of process improvements and system enhancements
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of new vendor functionality
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful production rollouts
- Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure changes, and application validation activities




- Build strong relationships with business users, technology teams, and external vendors

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably within Capital Markets
- 2–3+ years supporting Repo trading systems in a sell-side environment
- Solid understanding of repo trading, collateral management, settlements, and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience working with trading and post-trade platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

- Experience with fixed income and interest rate products
- Exposure to platforms such as Bloomberg, Broadridge, Calypso, BondOne, or similar trading systems
- Python, Excel VBA, or productivity tool development experience

Work Arrangement

- Hybrid model with two days onsite per week in downtown Toronto
