Location(s): Montreal A career as a senior data scientist in the Models, Technology and Transformation team at National Bank means acting as a modelling expert. It is through your analytical skills, your experience working in a multidisciplinary team and your knowledge of rare event modeling that you have a positive impact on the experience of our partners and customers.
Your job:
- Collaborate with different partners to complete high-impact modeling mandates.
- Develop, maintain and optimize financial crime detection models.
- Recommend efficient approaches to the detection of financial crimes.
- Ensure that you meet the standards surrounding the statistical modeling and model documentation process.
- Contribute to reporting or analysis activities in the fight against financial crimes.
- Supporting our partners in their business needs.
Your team: Within the compliance sector, you are part of a team of 8 colleagues and report to the analytics director, monitoring - risk management at AML/ATF. Prerequisite:
- Bachelor's degree completed and 6 years of relevant experience or Master's degree completed and 4 years of relevant experience (in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science or a related field).
- Experience in modeling and a good command of supervised and unsupervised approaches.
- Expertise in data visualization.
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL and Python and good knowledge of the Power BI tool.
Languages: English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
