Location(s): Montreal A career as a Senior Data Steward in the modelling and risk strategies team at National Bank means serving as a data governance and data quality specialist in the Credit risk field. This position allows you to have a concrete impact on transforming the organisation's analytical and operational capabilities thanks to your expertise in data management, governance, data quality and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Apply data governance and management best practises in collaboration with data owners in the Credit risk domain
- Participate in the sector's strategic initiatives by analysing the impacts on data requirements and ensuring their adequate governance throughout projects
- Continuously improve data quality by defining indicators, quality thresholds and adapted monitoring mechanisms
- Support the various stakeholders in the data management cycle, including development teams, specialists and data consumers
- Identify the needs of data users and make recommendations in collaboration with data owners
- Contribute to the evolution of the target data ecosystem in order to support the sector's business objectives and transformation priorities.
Your team
In the modelling and risk strategies sector, you will be part of a large multidisciplinary team whose mandate is to deliver value as part of the team's transformation, which includes building the target data ecosystem. implement the analytical and operational environments of the future and develop models and strategies that optimise the new data and features delivered as part of our strategic initiatives (Polaris, commercial strategic pillars, etc.). You will report to the Senior Manager – Credit risk Data and Decision Tools. Our team stands out for its strategic role in data transformation, specialised expertise and ability to work closely with numerous business partners.

Prerequisites
- Relevant training in the data field and at least 5 to 7 years in risk modelling, data architecture or data management
- Experience in data governance and data quality management in a complex environment
- Knowledge of credit risk data, particularly credit decisions, credit reports, collection or recovery reports
- Experience with data visualisation and analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI
- Experience with governance and data management tools such as Collibrary
