Senior Director, Operations - Foundation - Permanent Full-Time (2026-186)

Full-Time with benefits, working fromthe Foundation office in downtown Collingwood with regular meetings outsideofoffice. Occasional work from home flexibility.
The Senior
Director, Operations is a newly created position responsible for leading the operational excellence, financial oversight and governance support to enable the Foundation to achieveits top priorities, beginning with the transformational Tomorrow’s Hospital campaign.
The Senior
Director will lead projects that will help grow and shapethe future of the Foundation as we undertake the largest fundraising campaignin South Georgian Bay’s history. With outstanding generalistknowledge, the Senior Director oversees financial management, office administration, donor services operations, governance support, and human resources. Reporting to the President& CEO and a member of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team, the SeniorDirector currently has one direct report.
The projected start date is October/November 2026. Develop, implement, and evaluateoperational policies, procedures, and best practices. Serve as the senior liaison betweenthe Foundation and Hospital Finance department.
Leadthedevelopment andmonitoring of the Foundation's annual budget. Oversee gift processing, taxreceipting, reconciliations, deposits, and financial administrationprocedures. Support annual audit activities andensuretimelycompletion of auditrequirementsandcompliance with CRA regulations, accountingstandards, and Foundation policies.
Oversee all office administrationfunctions and day-to-day operations. Provide oversight of theFoundation's donor database system, ensuring data integrity,confidentiality, security, and adherence to best practices.
Support business continuity planningand organizational risk management activities.
Serve as the senior staff leadsupportingboard committees, includingbut notlimitedto: Support policy development,governance best practices, and committee effectiveness. Serve as the Foundation's primaryliaison with the Hospital's People ServicesdepartmentinsupportingFoundationhumanresourcesfunctions. Leadrecruitment,onboarding,performance management, compensation administration, and employeerelations processes.
Ensure compliance with workplacelegislation, organizational policies, and health and safetyrequirements. Support employee learning,development, and succession planning initiatives. Assist the President & CEO withworkforce planning and organizational development activities.
Post-secondaryeducation in Business Administration, Public Administration, Non-profitManagement, Finance, or a related field. Demonstratedexperience managing budgets, financial processes, and operationalsystems. Strongknowledge of CRM/database management systems.
AdvancedproficiencywithMicrosoft Office Suite, including Excel. Knowledge of charitable sectorregulations, donor stewardship standards, and fund administrationprinciplesan asset.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge CRM.
OperationalExcellence: Createsefficient systems, processes, and controls that support organizationalsuccess.
ProblemSolving: Identifiesopportunities,mitigates risks, and implements solutions.
