In-house Legal Counsel Location: Hybrid -Newmarket - 2 days on-site, 2 days WFH Group Level, Wonde, Evouchers & Secure Schools Beyond unifies three technology-driven brands, Wonde, Evouchers and Secure Schools. Each brand shares a vision to reduce the friction of adapting technology, to help customers navigate an often overwhelming area and provide powerful solutions that make their everyday life easier. As Beyond's Senior In-house Legal Counsel, you will be the business's go-to legal expert, working as a standalone specialist responsible for a broad range of legal matters across the group and its global, international operations.

This is a hands-on, commercially minded role: you will handle day-to-day legal work yourself, provide strategic guidance at leadership level, and build the playbooks, tools, and AI-enabled processes that let the wider business handle simpler matters with confidence. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal professional to have real ownership and influence across a growing technology group. You’ll have the autonomy to shape how legal works across Beyond, work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our products and international operations Provide pragmatic legal advice across corporate governance, commercial contracts, data privacy, and employment-related matters, acting as the first point of contact for legal queries across the business.

Draft, review, negotiate, and be the first point of contact for a variety of commercial global contracts across all of Beyond's products, taking personal ownership of the more complex, high-value, or novel agreements, including SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership deals. Support the building out of a commercial contract playbook and provide training so the sales team has the knowledge and confidence to handle less complex contracts themselves, using AI tools to support consistency, speed, and quality control. Lead the control and management of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system across Beyond's product range, owning templates, workflows, and approval routes,

and using it to give the business clear visibility of contract status and risk.

Identify and implement opportunities to use AI to automate legal work where it is safe and appropriate to do so. Advise on risk management and dispute resolution, ensuring minimal legal exposure for Beyond. Stay updated on relevant legal developments in the tech industry, particularly around data protection (GDPR) and other emerging regulatory frameworks.

Act as a liaison with external legal counsel on specialised issues and litigation matters when required. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal departments, including HR, Information Security, Finance, and Product, to align legal advice with Beyond’s objectives. UK-qualified lawyer, with several years' post-qualification experience, ideally including in-house time within a technology or SaaS business.

Comfortable operating as a standalone legal function, taking full ownership of a wide range of responsibilities without close oversight. Ability to balance legal risks with commercial objectives and offer pragmatic, business-friendly solutions. Commercially savvy with a deep understanding of the tech industry and its evolving legal landscape.

Good working knowledge & understanding of data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA) and related privacy regulations, especially how they apply to tech products and services. Hands-on experience with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, ideally having owned, implemented, or embedded one. A genuine interest in using AI and legal technology to work more efficiently, with the judgement to identify where automation can safely replace manual legal work and where it cannot.

Solid experience advising on regulatory issues, ensuring Beyond remains compliant with evolving legal requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders. A solution-oriented mindset, capable of offering practical legal advice that balances risk with commercial priorities.
