3 months contract till December 2026- possibility of extension

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Software Developer based in Canada to join a large HCM company on a 3 month contract to support a government-focused vulnerability remediation program and .NET migration program. The successful candidate will be supporting the migration of .NET Framework v4.7.2 to .NET v10 and will be responsible for analyzing web-pages, converting code, and writing net new code. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running to meet urgent deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 5-7+ years experience working as a Software Developer within large enterprise environments
- Excellent experience with C#, .NET framework (at least v4.5), .NET CORE (at least v8 or v9), and ASP.NET with MVC design patterns
- Strong experience working within monolithic environments and building modern platforms
- Robust experience building microservices and containerized applications using docker or Kubernetes




- Experience deploying and working with ci/cd pipelines (XAML or YAML)
- Experience with CSS, HTML, or ASPx webpages
- Experience with testing - validating smoke tests, and ability to create unit tests
- Experience with AI assisted development tools - GitHub CoPilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent
- Strong experience with SQL Server DB
- Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, and eagerness to work on challenging projects

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting and remediating internal nuget packages and third party packages

- PowerShell scripting

- GitHub for source control
- Previous experience with .NET framework migrations to .NET core

- MongoDB

- Working within agile/scrum environment
- Ability to identify performance bottlenecks or scalability challenges
