How You’ll Contribute: A Senior AV Live Events Technician is responsible for all aspects of set up, implementation, pre-production testing, planning of Live events, technical consultation and direction for broadcast, show and studio production engineering, consultation, both for mobile events/field event location. This role is responsible to ensure the technologies work together and morph as technology changes inside and outside of client network and in the day and live of scheduled events. This position is 100% onsite at a Diversified client facility in downtown Toronto What You’ll Do: The Senior AV Live Events Technician is the Technical Director or Chief Engineer in charge for executive-level and high-profile live events for both internal and external audiences.
Setup, Audit and Pack Down of Client Events.
This person is the technical advisor for delivery of technological solutions that will creatively and effectively execute messaging for internal studio teams, corporate communications, and external audiences.
Be aware of and back up Team Leader for Scheduling, Coordination, Sourcing and Supervision of external vendors and third-party teams used for successful event planning, media services, and technical production. Point of contact for resource coordination cost estimates and vetting proposals for resourcing productions necessary for successful execution of client broadcast events.
Awareness and ability to consult on current and upcoming advancements in technology in the following areas: presentation, broadcasting, webcasting/livestreaming, video conferencing, PTP (peer-to-peer) communications.
Daily Technical Direction is the responsibility of this role, to ensure the production event team is technically successful.

Event Space Mobile Equipment and Studio Control room spaces as well as Café and Auditorium Video Production networks
Responsible to provide 3rd level support for all live events if necessary. Coordinate and work with 3rd party product vendor to determine overall solutions and impact to system changes and fixes, as required. Point of contact for monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and technical documentation for overall operations as it relates to equipment and system support
Other duties assigned as needed.

Education &
Certifications: high school diploma or equivalent Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Technical field degree preferred Required Skills/Qualifications: Minimum 4 – 5 years relevant Live Event, Production, Broadcasting, experience with technologies mentioned above Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, Digital Signage, Video and Studio Productions, Live Events and Broadcasting technologies.
Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Ability to build quality customer/vendor relationships
Ability to understand future industry trends and apply to existing workflow
