Position Overview Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Management, the Product Manager, Hardware Operations plays a critical role in driving our digital transformation strategy. You will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of digital products designed to optimize operational efficiency and elevate the passenger journey.
In this role, you will lead a dedicated, cross-functional product team, translating complex operational requirements and customer insights into secure,
highly reliable digital solutions. You will define value hypotheses, prioritize feature backlogs, guide product discovery, and ensure delivery excellence across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and measurable success metrics aligned with broader business and journey objectives.
- Product Discovery: Conduct discovery with internal stakeholders, frontline operational teams, and external vendors to identify key opportunities, mitigate risks, and gain actionable insights.
- Requirements & Backlog Management: Translate operational and customer feedback into detailed product specifications, epics, and user stories. Manage an integrated backlog balancing feature delivery, technical debt, security, and user experience.
- Performance & Analytics: Track key product performance metrics and health indicators, utilizing data-driven insights to guide ongoing optimization.
- Delivery & Governance: Coordinate release planning with tech delivery teams to ensure cross-functional readiness. Partner with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and domain experts to maintain compliance and risk posture.
- Stakeholder Alignment:
Facilitate product updates, portfolio reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Team Leadership: Build a collaborative, agile culture focused on rapid experimentation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, with a proven track record of launching successful products within the airline or airport sectors (specific experience with airport operations software is strongly preferred).
- Leadership: 3+ years leading cross-functional teams, with strong capabilities in vendor management and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Technical & Design Depth: Deep understanding of digital platforms, APIs, systems integration, UX design principles, and customer journey mapping within complex operational environments.
- Frameworks: Hands-on experience applying design-thinking frameworks to define problem statements, validate hypotheses, and build high-value solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, storytelling, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Tooling: Proficiency with modern product management software (e.g., Jira, ProductPlan/Roadmunk, Figma/Miro) and product analytics tools.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Agile product management certifications (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic Framework, SAFe) are an asset.
- Security Clearances: Ability to obtain and maintain the required Transportation Security Clearance level for the role.
