Reporting to the Manager, Claims, the Senior Technical Specialist Bodily Injury and Commercial General Liability is responsible for oversight and handling of complex long haul trucking, towing, commercial general liability and commercial automobile claims.

The claims are moderate to severe in nature and the successful candidate will have a dynamic personality and the ability to excel in a high performance environment.

Injury and CGL ensures claims are properly investigated, evaluated, and resolved in a timely manner. Provide oversight of external adjusters on outsourced claims Investigate, evaluate, negotiate commercial lines casualty claims of moderate to high complexity Manage challenging coverage claims with tact and professionalism Conduct technical audits to monitor quality, activity, reserving and expenses Provide high quality customer experience to all stakeholders Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre‑trials and settlement conferences Occasional travel is required Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience Minimum of 7 years experience handling casualty/CGL claims required Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations and coverage issues Please note that internal applicants are asked to formally express their interest by applying online no later than 10 business days of the position being posted.
