Kozak Ukrainian Restaurant is hiring a full-time Server & Bakery Counter Associate for our Langley location.

This is a combined front-of-house position involving restaurant table service, bakery counter service and hosting duties.

On weekdays, one employee may be responsible for both restaurant service and the bakery counter during the shift. On weekends, Server and Bakery Counter Associate / Host duties may be scheduled as separate positions depending on business needs.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between different responsibilities, communicates confidently, stays organized and provides friendly, professional service.

Previous serving experience is required. Experience in a bakery, restaurant, retail or customer-service environment is an asset. Training will be provided on our menu, bakery products, POS system and service procedures.

Schedule and Availability

Full availability is required. Shifts may include:

- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekdays and weekends
- Statutory holidays

Applicants must be available to work any shift based on the restaurant schedule and must be comfortable performing all parts of this combined position.

Responsibilities

Restaurant Service

- Welcome guests and provide attentive table service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Explain the menu, answer questions and recommend items
- Enter orders using the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly
- Check on guests throughout their visit
- Process payments accurately
- Complete opening, side and closing duties

Bakery Counter and Host Duties

- Welcome guests and provide friendly bakery counter service
- Explain and recommend baked goods, desserts and beverages
- Pack bakery, takeout and delivery orders
- Operate the POS system and process payments accurately
- Keep the bakery display stocked, clean and organized
- Monitor product presentation and report low-stock items
- Welcome and seat restaurant guests
- Help manage the flow of the dining room
- Set, clear and prepare tables for incoming guests




- Answer phone calls and assist with general guest questions
- Keep the entrance, bakery counter and front area guest-ready
- Support other front-of-house team members as needed

Requirements

- Previous serving experience
- Full availability for all required shifts
- Valid Serving It Right certificate
- Friendly, confident and professional communication
- Strong customer-service skills
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service
- Ability to manage several responsibilities and change priorities when needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Ability to learn the restaurant menu and bakery products
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to safely carry food, beverages, bakery trays, orders and table-setting items, with reasonable accommodation
