Requirements

1. Must speak, read, and write English well enough to follow instructions, communicate with employees, and complete paperwork.

2. Must understand basic math to verify job specifications.

3. Physically capable of moving and removing materials and finished goods.

4. Able to operate machinery and train/instruct subordinates in its use.

5. Excellent knowledge of machine shop and welding operations in a production workplace.

6. Excellent eyesight and depth perception.

7. Basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot production problems.

Working Conditions

- Work primarily performed in the shop.

- May be subject to extremes of cold when shipping/receiving doors are open in winter.

- Exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, high noise levels, and hazardous materials.

- Use of PPE required.

Tasks & Duties

1. Assist the President with duties as required.

2. Ensure scheduled work assigned to shop personnel is completed.

3. Ensure work is performed correctly and within budget.

4. Report production delays to the President.

5.



Provide the Office Manager with written reports on finished products.

6. Conduct routine checks on work in process and job specifications.

7. Ensure accurate production of jobs according to specifications.

8. Maintain productivity of reporting employees.

9. Recommend disciplinary actions, promotions, and raises to the President.

10. Control supplies to prevent waste and keep costs within budget.

11. Clean work area daily and maintain adequate supply inventory.

12. Reschedule and document rework, including man-hour tracking.

13. Enforce all safety rules and ensure employees comply.

14. Enforce all company rules and ensure employees comply.

15. Complete written tracking of production on a regular basis.

16. Oversee machinery shutdown.

17. Ensure quality control at all stages of production.

18. Instruct employees on machine safety.

19. Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
