Employment Status: Full Time Hours of Work: Available to work day shifts from Monday to Friday with one evening shift per week - subject to change as per Article HRH 2 – Management Rights Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Labour Group: Manager, Inpatient Mental Health Hourly Rate: $44.67 - $57.90 Providespsycho-social assessment and therapies with individuals, families andgroups using a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities (supportive, dynamic, interpersonal, counselling and solution-focused) to promote anoptimum level of functioning.
Developsand coordinates the discharge plan in conjunction with the treatment teamincluding connection/referral to appropriate internal and/or community resources. Completespatient documentation, workload measurements and data requirements in accordance with Hospital, Ministry of Health, CLHIN and departmentalstandards.
Master of Social Worker (MSW) obtained from an accredited School of Social Work. Current membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) Certification in the prevention and management of aggressive behaviour is an asset. Two (2) years’ experience in mental health and/or addiction facility or setting preferred.
Demonstrated skills in individual and group counselling/psychotherapy. Knowledge of and experience in CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing a definite asset.
Experience in withdrawal management services and knowledge of early recovery treatment models is an asset. Excellent knowledge of community resources. Good word processing skills, including MS Office. Knowledge of a second language an asset. An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
