The Social

Worker within the Mental Health and Addiction Services Team provides assessments and therapeutic interventions for clients and their families, addressing the emotional and social needs of children and youth facing mental health issues, with the primary objective to the support and strengthen social functioning. This is done through collaboration with the client and/or family,



the Mental Health and Addiction Service Interdisciplinary Team, and other service providers within Sunrise Health Region and communities. Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Computer skills Public relations skills Case management skills Demonstrates knowledge of community services, programs, and resources Ability to develop a monitoring program to assess and improve quality of care Knowledge in quality improvement theory and methodologies Knowledge of mental health issues Knowledge in integrating mental health programming across SHA and communities Robust knowledge of Mental Health Services Act Ability to travel when required Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
