The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the project, review major findings from engineering and field teams, resolve complex design and integration issues, and ensure the target BAS architecture is scalable, maintainable, reliable, and suitable for long-term operation.

This position is intended for a senior BAS professional with substantial hands-on EBO experience combined with strong system architecture, controls integration, migration, and technical leadership capabilities.

What You’ll Do

- Serve as the primary technical authority for the EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) solution and overall BAS architecture.
- Define EBO architecture, system hierarchy, server relationships, communications, integration boundaries, and deployment strategy across Enterprise Servers, Edge Servers, supervisory controllers, field controllers, and connected BAS infrastructure .
- Establish campus-wide and multi-building architecture, including redundancy, resilience, failover, availability, recovery, network segmentation, BACnet routing, BBMD requirements, and communication paths.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, design criteria, technical standards, and engineering documentation.
- Establish consistent standards for engineering, configuration, naming, networking, databases, graphics, alarming, trending, and integrations.
- Define migration strategy and sequencing from legacy BAS environments, including controllers, databases, graphics, trends, alarms, programs, integrations, and other BAS assets.
- Review existing BAS environments and identify technical constraints, dependencies, modernization requirements, and migration risks.
- Review findings from BACnet assessments, field investigations, QA/QC, commissioning, and other technical specialists, and determine architectural or migration impacts.
- Resolve complex BAS, BACnet, server, controller, network, database, communications, and integration issues across multiple buildings, manufacturers, and system layers.
- Define Enterprise Server and Edge Server strategy , including allocation of functionality and system responsibilities.
- Define and review third-party equipment, gateway, historian, analytics, building, energy, enterprise, and OT integration requirements.
- Establish historian, trending, data-retention, historical-migration, reporting, and external data-interface strategies.
- Review controls sequences, network diagrams, engineering documents, technical submittals, and significant design changes for alignment with the target architecture.
- Provide technical direction to Project Managers,

EBO engineers, programmers, Controls Specialists, technicians, field teams, commissioning personnel, IT/OT stakeholders, vendors, and customer representatives.
