Duties

- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and medical regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and modify patient treatment plans
- Provide expert counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to promote secure medication practices
- Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed under physician supervision
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication administration, patient records, and pharmacy activities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal standards, and accreditation requirements for medication management




- Educate staff on new medications, medical terminology, and best practices for patient care

Requirements

- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction
- Proven hospital experience with a focus on acute care environments
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding their unique pharmaceutical needs
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care excellence and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
