We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various care settings. You will work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare teams to deliver personalized care that meets each person’s unique needs.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Help with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers and repositioning
- Monitor health status, report changes, and document care provided accurately for team review
- Assist with specialized care for individuals with dementia, disabilities, or undergoing hospice care
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and community outings when appropriate
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Basic understanding of medication administration procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
