We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Maker to join our vibrant culinary team! Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi using traditional techniques, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Handle fresh seafood, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients with proper food safety practices
- Cook rice and other components as needed for various sushi dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with health regulations
- Serve sushi to guests promptly while providing friendly and attentive service
- Assist in food preparation tasks across the kitchen to support overall restaurant operations
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food service role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of sushi making techniques, serving standards, and food safety protocols
- Strong skills in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen organization
- Previous experience working with seafood and handling raw ingredients safely
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Food industry or restaurant experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
