About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Display System Debug Engineer to join our Display Processing Unit (DPU) Silicon System Debug team. This role involves working at the intersection of silicon, systems, and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex display issues across Qualcomm's leading platforms.

As part of our team, you will be instrumental in identifying silicon-level display problems reported by customers or internal teams, developing debugging procedures, and creating tools for data collection, parsing, and analysis. Your expertise will help ensure the reliability and performance of Qualcomm display solutions, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering innovative and dependable products.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SOC design and verification, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A master's or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,



or a related field is preferred.

Candidates should have proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with experience in hardware/software debugging, signal analysis, and protocol standards such as DisplayPort, DSC, MIPI, and HDMI. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Identify and isolate display issues at the silicon level reported by customers or internal teams, utilizing industry-standard debugging practices such as hardware tracing, software logging, and signal capture.
- Develop and refine silicon debugging procedures, including creating tools for data collection, parsing, and analysis to facilitate efficient troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Qualcomm, including display hardware, software, SOC infrastructure, and system performance teams, to resolve complex system-level display malfunctions.
- Document internal and customer-facing debugging processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for technical teams and clients.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation and provide expertise during design, verification,



and customer support phases to enhance the robustness and stability of Qualcomm display solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team growth and technical excellence.
- Train and support Qualcomm’s global customer engineering teams on display-related troubleshooting and debugging techniques, ensuring high-quality customer service and issue resolution.
