We are seeking a Systems Engineering Analysts to join our System-of-Systems (SoS) Engineering team, supporting the Canadian Armed Forces’ C5ISR-T program.
The C5ISR-T system provides the Armed Forces with a highly integrated tactical system comprising communication systems such as radios and telephony, core networking systems that connect intelligence and surveillance assets, battle management systems that enable streamlined operations, and information management systems that process large amounts and types of data. Based in either our Ottawa or Calgary facility, the ideal candidate will undertake a number of different initiatives, including (but not limited to) developing system requirements, modeling the system using MBSE techniques, and contextualizing the operational use cases of the system. Work with the customer, the Department of National Defence (DND) to elicit and define operational requirements and desired capabilities.
Manage the traceability of higher-level requirements to lower-level requirements and to test artifacts.
Utilize
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop Operational and System Views according to DNDAF and UAF. Support testing activities including verification and validation of requirements, writing test cases, and producing Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable scientific discipline is required. 1+ years of applicable system engineering or related experience.
The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated capability of meeting commitments and delivering high quality work products.
Assets
Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS/ERM preferred).
Experience with designing networking systems.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering techniques and tools (Enterprise Architect preferred).
Experience conducting technical analysis and documenting and communicating the results. Knowledge of Systems Engineering standards and best practices (such as INCOSE).
Experience working with a government customer in a direct or indirect capacity. It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. The hiring range for this position is $73,000-$90,000 CAD annual.
