Duties

- Measure clients accurately using standard tailoring tools to ensure perfect fit and comfort
- Alter, hem, take in, let out, or repair garments according to customer specifications
- Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on fabric choices and styles
- Operate sewing machines, pressing equipment, and other tailoring tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to uphold safety standards and streamline workflow
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while adhering to deadlines for timely delivery




- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering fitting sessions, and ensuring satisfaction with final products

Experience

- Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar garment alteration role preferred
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern making, and fabric types
- Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with sewing machines, pressing equipment, and tailoring tools required
- Prior experience working with diverse fabrics and garment types is a plus
