URGENT HIRING: AWS TECHNICAL LEAD - PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE

POSITION OVERVIEW

VStream Labs is urgently hiring an experienced AWS Technical Lead to lead cloud modernization and application delivery for Property and Casualty insurance solutions. The successful candidate will combine hands-on AWS engineering, DevOps and cloud-enablement expertise with the ability to lead distributed onshore and offshore teams.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

- 12-15 years of overall information technology experience.
- Solid, recent AWS architecture and hands-on cloud engineering experience.
- Proven Technical Lead, Solution Lead or Cloud Lead experience.
- Direct Property and Casualty insurance experience, including policy, claims, billing, underwriting or rating processes.
- Strong DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automation, release governance, infrastructure as code and production support.
- Cloud-enablement and modernization experience, including migration strategy, landing zones, security, observability and operational readiness.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM and CloudFormation.
- Experience with microservices, APIs,



event-driven architecture and cloud integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead both onshore and offshore delivery teams.
- Must currently reside in Canada, be authorized to work in Canada and attend a GTA office three days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the architecture, design and delivery of secure, scalable AWS solutions.
- Drive cloud-enablement, application modernization and DevOps adoption.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, code reviews and engineering standards.
- Coordinate onshore and offshore teams across design, development, testing and release.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, security, QA and P&C; insurance stakeholders.
- Support CI/CD, production readiness, monitoring, incident resolution and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Developer certification.
- Guidewire, Duck Creek or comparable P&C; insurance platform experience.
- Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker and Kubernetes.
