Kamloops
Tusk services, builds and commissions control systems for mines across Canada. We are hiring a Service Coordinator to run the scheduling behind our field and engineering teams and to stay in contact with the plants we serve.
This is an office role in Kamloops, Monday to Friday.
What you will do
Scheduling and dispatch
- Take in service requests and schedule technicians and engineers to complete client requests.
- Book travel, accommodation, and site access, and confirm orientations and certifications are current before anyone reaches the gate
- Confirm parts, tools, and test equipment are available and ready
- Issue work orders and keep them current as scope changes
- Collect site reports and timesheets, code them to jobs, and prepare service invoice packages.
- Update clients on open jobs and keep field crews informed when something on site changes
- Contact clients working adjacent to or geographically near active service calls to generate additional work opportunities.
Client follow-up:
- Call the client contact after each job closes to confirm they are satisfied and ask what is coming up
- Record what our crews saw on site, such as aging equipment, unexplained faults, or deferred work, in our opportunity list
- Review that list monthly with the field services lead and the engineering team, who decide what gets quoted and write the quotes
- Keep contact information current for the accounts we serve
What we are looking for
- Two or more years in scheduling, dispatch, service coordination, inside sales, or a service advisor role. Industrial, mining, electrical, construction, or trades is ideal
- Comfort managing several jobs at once and keeping the details straight
- Willingness to phone a client and ask a direct question
- Clear written and verbal communication with clients and with crews on poor cell service
- Solid Excel skills. We will train you on our service management and ERP systems
- Class 5 licence
- Post-secondary in business administration or engineering technology is practical and not required
- Mining or industrial automation exposure is an asset. Site experience is a bigger one
Hours and expectations Standard office hours. When a plant goes down outside those hours you may get a call, shared on rotation with the field services lead. This is not a 24/7 on-call position.
Compensation and benefits
$60,000 to $80,000 per year depending on experience. Extended health and dental
3 weeks vacation.
