Facility: Sandy Bay Health Centre Addiction Services Community Clinics&Programs; Type: Full-time temporary Shift Information: Days, Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: 42 shifts of 10.67 hours per 12 weeks Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: Yes As a member of the interdisciplinary team, and under the general direction of the Manager of Mental Health and Addictions, the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery programs.

Responsibilities include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counselling sessions with clients.



This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement plans to help clients reach their goals. "Minimum of one year experience in addictions/mental health would be desirable Mental Health & Addictions Counselling Diploma Valid Class 5 driver's license Knowledge of how addictions impacts the individual, community and families Successful candidate with a home base other than Sandy Bay will be considered. Versatile option for two week in two week out work schedule is available.
