In this part-time role within the Nair General Research Department, you will engage in both clinical and research activities related to sputum processing. Teaming with another part-time technologist, you will report to Professor Parameswaran Nair, furthering the impact of essential health studies. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze sputum for clinical respirology
- Conduct special staining procedures for research needs
- Operate cell counters to deliver exact lab results
- Coordinate laboratory schedules and monitor staff performance
- Engage in research projects and present findings
Requirements:
- MLT certification with hematology focus
- Five years' experience in cytotechnology required
- Certification maintenance with Ontario medical laboratory bodies
- Proven skills in cell morphology and laboratory operations
- Dedication to ongoing learning and expertise development
